Poster Contest Winners Announced

The annual Fire Safety Poster Contest 4th grade and 5th grade winners received a ride to school this morning on T5 with Firefighters Mike Pryor and Mike Wydra. They were also later presented gift cards from Local 2233 at a ceremony conducted by Fire Marshal Grosso, Deputy Fire Marshal Plank and Local 2233 President Dave Chaloux with teachers Megan Anderson, Caroline Duggan, Michele Montanaro, Principle Jennifer Mitchell, parents, News 12, and WFD D-Shift in attendance. Congratulations to 4th grade winner Michelle Yabalkarov and runner-up Polina Popova and 5th grade winner Saanvi Kakarlapudi and runner-up Lucy Filip!

Toys for Tots Pick Up

December 13th was a busy day for Wilton Firefighters Local 2233. We started the day with the USMC Reserve doing the pick up for Toys for Tots. Thanks to everyone who donated this year. We then went to Ogden House to serve lunch for the residents. 

Toys For Tots is Back

It's that time of year again! Wilton Firefighters Local 2233 is proud to participate in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program which helps brighten the holidays for children in need. If you would like to donate, we have collection points at both our fire stations (236 Danbury Rd. and 707 Ridgefield Rd.) Toys in un-opened packaging only and no gift wrapping, please.

The IAFF has parternered with Advanced Recovery Systems to offer support to IAFF members suffering from substance abuse, PTSD, and other behavioral health issues. Firefighting can expose people to more than just smoke and heat. If you or someone you know are suffering, don't wait to seek help. Please visit the IAFF Recovery Center website or call 855 412 2216 and recieve help from medical professionals and fellow firefighters who have been through these challenges and are there to help.

Apparatus Supervisor Nathanson's Last Shift

 Today, March 31st 2017, Apparatus Supervisor Ralph Nathanson completes his last shift. Ralph has been an important asset to the Wilton Fire Department and to the members of Local 2233 for more than 37 years. On behalf of our members, Wilton Firefighters Local 2233 congratulates Ralph on a job well done and we wish him well in his retirement.
